OUR EXCURSIONS

From visits to Ryde Library to nature explorations in the parks and going to the beach, our fun and engaging excursions have been designed to take your child’s learning outside of the common classroom setting and into the wonderful world around us. Wonder House is perfectly positioned in the heart of the Ryde, meaning we are within easy walking distance to so many local attractions; such as: Ryde beach, Ryde Pier, IOW Bus and Coach Museum, Ryde Library and much more. The woodland located right next door to us provides a beautiful and natural environment for your child to enjoy as they learn and play.

Children are stimulated by everyday changes which happen to flowers, birds, squirrels, butterflies, and so much more. Nature is the beauty of life that surrounds us all and it is certainly an education in itself. Above all, our programme focuses on our children’s happiness and well-being. When your child is happy in school, then they will enjoy learning and they will take this appreciation for learning with them throughout the rest of their lives.

EDUCATIONAL VISITS

Our children enjoy a number of carefully selected educational visits from experts and specialists throughout the year. These guests complement our curriculum and extend our children’s learning and interests. Visits from the dentist teach our children important dental hygiene practices and promote a sense of health and wellbeing. Young children often have a strong interest in firefighters and fire engines, and we incorporate visits from the fire brigade into our specialist visitors program, allowing children to learn important fire safety lessons and also feel a connection with their local heroes.

Wonder House Dental Programme

This is a specially designed educational service where children learn about the value and importance of oral care through fun and easy classroom activities.

Our Wonder Kids are inspired to practice healthy oral-care habits by using tips, fun facts, and take-home learning aids.

Dentist visits are regularly organized and include dental role plays, brushing teeth, learning dental facts, and having fun.

As part of our ongoing activity program at Wonder House Nursery, we frequently invite special guests, including real-life doctors. This provides our WonderKids with the opportunity to step into the roles of healthcare professionals, learning valuable life skills and medical knowledge directly from experts.

A heartfelt thank you to our most recent guest, Dr. Niki!

Such rewarding visits form a key component of our training curriculum, fostering empathy and understanding in our young learners.
